The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) said that 30 PKK terrorists were killed in a counter-terror operation launched in the region of Gara in northern Iraq.
According to the statement released by the Turkish General Staff on Monday, warplanes carried out airstrikes in the region, hitting two terrorist targets.
Some senior figures of the PKK were also killed in air strikes a day earlier, which were based on tip-offs and information from drones and reconnaissance vehicles in the region, the statement added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July last year.
