1.2 million lose license due to alcohol in a decade


Nearly 1.2 million people's licenses were suspended for being caught driving under the influence of alcohol between 2007 and 2016, according to statistics released by the Police Department Traffic Bureau.Of those, 100,662 happened last year.On the other hand, during the decade in question, 120,000 licenses were seized for traffic violations amounting to 100 points, and 6,000 others were seized for speed violations.The police and gendarmerie issued over 105 million fines during the same interval.
