Erzurum's Palandöken district, which is one of Turkey's main winter tourism attractions, offers skiing lovers a chance to take a trip down its slopes while some are enjoying the sea and sand in southern Turkey.
Members of the DADAK Nature Sports Club convened at the Konaklı Ski Resort, which is located 3,185 meters above sea level on Mount Palandöken, to enjoy skiing at the end of May.
Speaking to the press, Mustafa Tekin, the president of the sports club, conveyed his excitement at being able to ski just days before welcoming summer. "Pandöken is the new hub for nature sports lovers. It offers adrenalin and guarantees that you will have a good time throughout the year; not just in the winter months. The ski season is officially over but we want to give it a try. It is still possible to ski on [Mount] Palandöken."
Although skiers might only be able to enjoy the snow on Palandöken for a few more days, the DADAK Nature Sports Club offers numerous activities on Palandöken during summer such as trekking and mountain cycling.
