Sergeant killed in PKK terror attack in southeastern Turkey

A specialist sergeant posted in the southeastern province of Şırnak was killed on Thursday in an armed attack carried out by PKK terrorists, as he was in civilian clothes.
Turkish soldier came under fire from PKK militants at the city's Ömer Kabak square. Sergeant, who was in civilian clothes when he was shot, died at the scene.
A security operation was launched to track down the escaped assailants.
