Australian national Roland Samhaber, 55, who went trekking in the mountains of Antalya, was found seven hours after he went missing. According to reports, Samhaber began hiking on the famous Lycian Way, or King's Road, at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning and got lost at 3:00 p.m. and contacted the local Australian Consulate, which in turn alerted emergency rescue authorities. The Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and Gendarmerie Command mobilized their search and rescue teams to find Samhaber. It took the teams, accompanied by local guide Osman Akgül, nearly seven hours to locate the Australian national near the Hacı Ahmet Cemetery. After an initial medical check-up, the dehydrated and exhausted tourist was taken to the nearby gendarmerie base and then to Kemer Anadolu Hospital.
