PKK kills 1 soldier, injures 8 in midnight ambush in southeastern Turkey


The terrorist organization PKK organized a mined attack in the early hours of Sunday in the southeastern province of Mardin's Midyat district, killing one soldier and injuring eight. The terrorists attacked an oil pipeline passing through the town of Gelinkaya in Mardin and detonated a mine as the Turkish security forces arrived to secure the area. While one soldier was killed upon the explosion, eight more got injured in the following clashes between the terrorists and security forces. The wounded soldiers are currently being treated at Midyat State Hospital. Operations in the region are continuing.
