Hackers from a group known as the Turkish Hack Team attacked websites with affiliations to the self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) and the outlawed PKK terrorist organizations on late Friday.
The pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP)'s website was also attacked.
The PKK and its imprisoned leader Abdullah Öcalan's websites were among those targeted by the hackers, along with news websites close to ISIS.
Some websites remained closed on mid-Saturday due to damage inflicted to their servers.
Speaking to the Ihlas News Agency, the Hack Team leader, nicknamed ZoRRoKiN, said that no one can doubt that they will leave their keyboards and take to the streets if security forces grow weary.
