A total of 187,050 new vehicles rolled out on Turkish highways in February, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Friday.
The number of registered vehicles on the roads in Turkey reached over 19 million in February 2015, the statement said.
A total of 67,645 new and old vehicles were registered in February.
Within this total, cars represented 56 percent, small trucks 17.2 percent, motorcycles 10.8 percent, tractors 6.3 percent, trucks, minibuses, buses and special purpose vehicles 9.7 percent.
In terms of the distribution of car model brands for the 37,864 new registered cars in February, Volkswagen recorded 18.7 percent, Renault 12.6 percent, Hyundai 7.4 percent, Fiat 6.7 percent, Toyota 6.1 percent, Dacia 5.4 percent, Opel 6.2 percent, Ford 4.8 percent Skoda 3.8 percent, BMW 3.5 percent and other trademarks 23.9 percent.
