Turkish police discovered a cache of weapons including rifles, hand grenades and a large amount of munitions in a squatter's house in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district on Friday. Police did not reveal who the occupants were but the incident brings to mind the 2007 discovery of a large cache of weapons in another squatter house in Istanbul's Ümraniye district that led to operations against a group accused of running a criminal gang called Ergenekon.
