Metrobus crashes into another metrobus: five wounded

Five passengers were injured when a metrobus rear-ended another one in Istanbul on Tuesday.

The accident at Edirnekapı stop smashed the front window of one of the vehicles, injuring commuters. The crash disrupted metrobus services.

Metrobuses, introduced in 2007, provide a faster journey for hundreds of thousands of Istanbul residents daily.

Packed at rush hours, the buses operating on an exclusive lane are seldom involved in accidents although they are notorious for breakdowns, especially during the rush hours.
