Turkish security forces seized some 200 Syrian illegal immigrants who sailed from the southern Turkish city of Mersin yesterday after their boat crashed on a port.
Immigrants were reportedly traveling to Cyprus when their overloaded boat faced danger of capsizing. The captain steered back to the shore but crashed on the harbor. Immigrants aboard were slightly injured and fell overboard but they managed to reach the shore. They were rounded up by security forces in cafes they took shelter on the shore while the Turkish captain fled.
