Outlawed PKK has released three captives on Monday, including a village chief, in the Pervari town of Siirt province, in the southeastern part of Turkey, according to the regional gendarmerie.
A group of armed terrorists from the PKK, had come to the Pervari town village of Yapraktepe early Monday and abducted three villagers, including the village chief, Hasan Ozay.
The three hostages were released near Yapraktepe village. Security officials questioned and released three suspects.
Officials are continuing their efforts to catch those responsible.
The PKK is considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
