ISTANBUL — Turkey's major city, Istanbul received heavy rain fall on Monday, leaving pedestrians stranded. The district of Üsküdar received the brunt of the damage, the sea level rose rapidly leaving the town underwater.
Heavy down pours gave way to flash floods and left the sea overflowing onto land in some parts of Istanbul. Pictures shared on social media shocked people as images of the sea meeting land were taken by onlookers.
