Turks can travel to many countries without visa

As the result of agreement, Turkish citizens can travel visa-free to many countries. Turks can enter 112 countries with Special (Green) and Service (Gray) passports and 61 countries with Regular (Red) passport without visas. Day by day, the number of countries allowing visa free travel to Turkish citizens increases with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs efforts. Every passing day, a new country is added to the list of visa-free countries for Turkish citizens. Every Turk can obtain a regular (Red) passport and can therefore enter 61 countries with no visa requirement.



Service passports are issued to people who assign to travel abroad for official purposes. A Special passport is issued to people such as former members of the National Assembly, public servants (first, second, third grade), retired public servants, mayors, spouse of the special passport holders and the special passport holders' unemployed and unmarried children below the age of 25. Special and Service passport holders can enter 112 countries without visa.

Some of the visa-free countries for Regular passport holders are Brazil, Lebanon, Russia Federation, South Korea, Ukraine and Venezuela.

Special and Service passport holders can travel without visa to Denmark, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Holland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Jordan, the Maldives and Poland.

Turkish citizens should be able to obtain a visa for some countries at the border or at the airport without any official visa application. Regular, Service and Special visa holders can get their visa at the border or at the airport of Armenia, East Timor, Iraq, Qatar, Republic of South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Taiwan and Zambia.
