'Long live hell for all tyrants’
Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç announced that as a government they will not remain spectators to the developments in Syria.
In a reference to Syria, Arınç relayed a saying from the well-known Muslim scholar Bediüzzaman Said Nursi, 'Long live hell for all tyrants.' We will never side with the oppressors, we side with the oppressed. No matter what country or its geography, if people are being oppressed, the Turkish public will always be on their side. Turkey has never sided with tyrants."
Arınç also expressed that the death toll in Syria was not 260, but was actually closer to 500 and stated, "On the eve of the Mevlid Kandili (marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad), they closed in on and bombed Hama and Homs. This bloodthirsty administration is virtually delegating those under its order to kill one by one."
