Istanbul turns into Texas

Five bank branches and one jewelry store were robbed within one week in Istanbul.



An identified person or persons have attempted to rob a bank in Esenyurt and a jewelry store in Ataşehir.A number of police teams were dispatched to a bank branch located on Doğan Araslı Boulevard in Esenyurt when the alarm went off. The investigation into the alarm sounding revealed that an individual or a number of individuals had broken through the wall on the second floor of the branch and had then escaped when they heard the alarm go off.Police proceeded to use bank records to try to determine the identification of the persons involved. Meanwhile, a number of individuals also attempted to break through the wall of a coal shed located adjacent to a jewelry store on Dursunbey Street in Ataşehir's Yeniçamlıca neighborhood. They ran however, when they heard voices and locals informing the police.Police have begun investigating into the minibus the suspects used to escape the scene.FIVE ROBBERIES IN ONE WEEKIncluding today's attempts, on December 28th a bank and post office was robbed, and two banks were robbed on January 3rd and 4th respectively.
