Fifty-five different destinations from 31 countries are introduced at the Travel Turkey İzmir Tourism Fair and International Gastronomy Congress starting today. Increasing its number of participating countries each year, the fair is holding numerous tourist-inspired events until Dec. 13. Aside from a comprehensive exhibition representing Turkey, there are many presentations on tourist destinations such as Frankfurt, India, Genova, Greece and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, a subgroup of Georgian countries. This year, a number of tourism firms and institutions will introduce themselves to the fair, with new exhibitions from the U.S., Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Iran, Israel, France, Morocco, China, Uzbekistan, Greece, Kosovo, Germany and Montenegro. This year, Adana has been announced as the fair's partner city, while Kosovo is the partner country. The fair attracted 902 companies from 30 cities in 2014.
