With the start of Ramadan coinciding with temperatures soaring to 36 degrees Celsius and humidity reaching 77 percent, the aqua parks and beaches in Antalya have been left to the tourists.
While according to the Antalya District Meteorology Department temperatures are at 30 degrees Celsius and humidity is at 77 percent, in a number of locations throughout Antalya thermometers are showing the actual temperature to be more like 36 degrees Celsius. Due to the heat and the humidity, a significant number of Antalya residents are choosing to spend Ramadan indoors, which means the beaches and the aqua parks have been left to the enjoyment of tourists vacationing in the city.
"THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME IN ANTALYA"
Balot Eduard, who is on holiday in Antalya with his wife, explained that this was his first time coming to Turkey and that he has been pleased with everything. Eduard says that they have been relaxing in the sea, aqua parks and Turkish baths.

Lebedinskaya Tatyana, who hails from the Russian town of Krasnoyarsk and is on vacation with her three children, says, "I love Turkey a lot. I come all the time. The people, the way they treat us and the services here are all wonderful. If there is something we don't know anything about they help us. There are a lot of things to do that are fun. We have been to a few regions in Turkey. We have gone swimming and done rafting. This is my third time here and I hope it won't be the last."
