Opera Hotel renovated for 15 million euros

The Opera Hotel, located in Istanbul’s Gümüşsuyu neighborhood, has reopened for service after undergoing 15 million euros worth of renovations. The boutique hotel has a 75-room capacity, each with a view of the Bosphorus, with prices starting at 140 euros.

Hakan Kıran, the architect on the project, used a style now known as Taksim architecture, design involving waves of spherical lines.
The hotel won the 'Best Architecture' award for the Europe category at a ceremony for awards in real estate held in London. Architect Hakan Kıran will also be competing with the Opera Hotel in the semifinals held in March for "World's Best Architect".
