Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized European visa regulations during an opening ceremony for the new service building of the Bishkek Embassy.
Prime Minister Erdoğan, "As you know, the European Union has a visa process they call the Schengen. If that's what they are doing there, then why don't we establish a process for the brother countries in Central Asia?" During his address, Erdoğan went on to state that the current regulation of visa-free travel for a one-month period will be increased to an unlimited lifting of visa regulations between the two countries by 2012.
