Masters of silver display their craftsmanship
The “Grand Bazaar in 10 Steps” (10 Adımda Kapalıçarşı) exhibit held at the İş Bankası Museum in Eminönü in order to commemorate the 550-year history of the Grand Bazaar (Kapalıçarşı), was recently the sight of a rarity. Silver masters from the Silver Handcrafts Association created the most elegant examples of the art of gilding and inlay on site for onlookers.
The silver masters were very well received by art lovers who were pleased to experience the refined details of this traditional art and handicraft first hand.For those who missed this very special performance by these master silver workers, the last chance to witness the event again will be on February 26th.
