Turkish Airlines to serve eleven new destinations

Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced plans to add 11 additional international routes in the year 2011.



THY's Press Advisor has released an announcement which states that Europe's fastest growing airline, Turkish Airlines intends to add a series of new destinations this year. ''Turkish Airlines, already the eighth airline in the world in terms of widest flight network, intends to add 11 new international routes in 2011."According to the new flight program approved by the Ministry of Transportation General Directorate of Civil Aviation, the first flight added will be to Guangzhou (China) on January 30th, 2011 and will continue with three flights a week. As of March 3rd, 2011, flights will take off for Los Angeles (USA) four times a week and as of March 14th, 2011, flights destined to Shiraz (Iran) will begin with four flights offered a week.In addition, in 2011 Turkish Airlines also plans to add flights to Malaga (Spain), Thessalonica (Greece), Valencia (Spain), Toulouse (France), Manila (Philippines) as well as Napoli, Torino and Genoa (Italy). Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines currently operates flights to 130 foreign destinations and on 41 domestic routes, totaling 171 destinations all together.
