Following Turkcell, Vodafone and Türk Telekom, a new global system for mobile communications (GSM) operator has entered the Turkish telecommunication market. Having more than 70,000 subscribers in fixed lines, NETGSM has been preparing to greet customers as the fourth operator upon the start of 2017.
NETGSM has received the licenses in the fields of telecommunication, infrastructure operation, internet service provision, fixed line services and virtual mobile network service delivery as it prepares to compete in the new market it plans to enter next year.
Head of the board at NETGSM Adem Öcal expressed that within one year of entering the market, NETGSM aims to reach 1 million subscribers, adding that this number is achievable considering the fact that each month approximately 5 million subscribers switch their GSM operator company in Turkey.
Öcal also said that during the first phase they aim to make investments amounting to TL30 million ($10.35 million) as well as raising the number of its staff to 1,000, in addition to the existing infrastructural investments.
