Another dream has come true for both Turkish team Eczacıbaşı VitrA and Turkish volleyball. Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Zurich to follow their gold medal in the women's Champions League.Turkish volleyball is enjoying something of a golden era after winning three worldwide championships in the last six seasons. Eczacıbaşı VitrA beat Russian side Dinamo Krasnodar 3-1 to win the final game of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship Zurich 2015 on Sunday. On April 5, they also won the long-anticipated gold in the women's Champions League. The players, under Italian head coach Giovanni Caprara, shut out the Italian team Unendo Yamamay 3:0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-21) in the final to triumph in the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League. Enjoying a magnificent season this year, Eczacıbaşı VitrA have become the third Turkish club to bring home a world title to Turkey. Previously Fenerbahçe had won the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in 2010 and Vakıfbank in 2013. Fenerbahçe also came third in 2013 in the tournament and Vakıfbank came second in 2012. Turkish volleyball has managed to catch up with Brazil in terms of having three titles in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. Sunday saw EczacıbaşıVitrA's maiden title win.EczacıbaşıVitrA recovered from a third set loss (24-26) to beat Dinamo Krasnodar, winning 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 24-26, 25-19).The Turkish club's Jordan Larson-Burbach was the top scorer in the match with a total of 30 points. She was selected as the tournament's Most Valuable Player.Earlier, Volero Zurich beat Rexona AdeS for the bronze medal in straight sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-18). It was the host's first ever medal in the tournament after losing out at the last two tournaments.The ninth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship took place in Zurich between May 6 and May 10.The Women's Club World Championship has had nine different winners from five different countries. Brazil and Turkey have been represented on the winner's podium three times, while Azerbaijan, Italy and Russia have all had clubs win the competition once.Six clubs competed for the crown in 2015, including Volero Zurich (Switzerland), Hisamitsu Springs (Japan), EczacıbaşıVitrA Istanbul (Turkey), Rexona Ades (Brazil), Dinamo Krasnodar (Russia) and Mirador (Dominican Republic).
