Match-fixing penalizations released

Out of 55 individuals reviewed by the Professional Football Discipline Committee, ten were imposed bans for a combined 17-years on football.



Turkey's Professional Football Discipline Committee has released the penalizations issued in connection to the case on match-fixing allegations. Turkey's football disciplinary committee left leading clubs unpunished on Monday, including Fenerbahçe Chairman Aziz Yıldırım.

Fenerbahçe official İlhan Ekşioğlu on the other hand received three years, Şekip Mosturoğlu received one year and Infrastructure Manager Cemil Turhan received a one year ban from the sport.

Trabzonspor Chairman Sadri Şener and deputy chairman Nevzat Şakar as well as former Beşiktaş manager Serdal Adalı and technical director Tayfur Havutçu were also exempt from penalization.
Out of players that have been imposed bans, İbrahim Akın has been issued a three-year ban, while Serdar Kulbilge and Ümit Karan were issued bans for two years each. Eight out of the ten people were penalized for 'attempt', while footballer İbrahim Akın and Ahmet Çelebi, who supposedly paid the player off, were charged for 'directly affecting the score of the Fenerbahçe-İBB match.

İLHAN EKŞİOĞLU: THREE YEARS
(For attempting to influence the score for the Eskişehirspor- Trabzonspor, Gençlerbirliği-Fenerbahçe and Fenerbahçe-Ankaragücü games)
ŞEKİP MOSTUROĞLU: ONE YEAR (For attempting to influence the Eskişehirspor-Trabzonspor match)
CEMİL TURAN: ONE YEAR (For attempting to influence the Fenerbahçe-Ankaragücü match)
İBRAHİM AKIN: THREE YEARS (For affecting the score in the FB-İBB match)
AHMET ÇELEBİ: TWO YEARS (For affecting the score in the Fenerbahçe-İBB match)
ÜMİT KARAN: TWO YEARS (For attempting to influence the Eskişehirspor-Trabzonspor match)
SERDAR KULBİLGE: TWO YEARS (For attempting to influence the Gençlerbirliği-Fenerbahçe match)
CENGİZ DEMİREL: ONE YEAR (For attempting to influence the Gençlerbirliği- Fenerbahçe match)
YAVUZ AĞIRGÖL: ONE YEAR (For attempting to influence the Fenerbahçe- Ankaragücü match)
MEHMET ŞEN: ONE YEAR (For attempting to influence the Gençlerbirliği- Fenerbahçe match)
