Turkish police on Friday have detained three suspects in Istanbul under the scope of the anti-terrorism operation against ISIS.
Carrying out simultaneous dawn raids in Istanbul's Pendik and Başakşehir districts, the police found and confiscated weapons, bullets, documents belonging to the terrorist organization and digital material.
The suspects who were detained in the operation have reportedly been in ISIS-controlled areas in Iraq and Syria. They were brought to the Istanbul Police headquarters to give testimony.
Turkey has been carrying out airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria and Kurdish rebel positions in northern Iraq. It has also arrested hundreds of people with suspected links to violent terrorists.
