ISTANBUL — Ahead of the Turkey's first-ever presidential elections in which the president will be elected by a popular vote, the first nomination came from Democratic Left Party (DSP). DSP Izmir Provincial Head Selçuk Karakülçe stated that DSP leader Masum Türker will be a DSP's candidate for presidency if 20 party members officially support Türker.
