Within the scope of the Art of B-Movies concept of the Red Bull Music Festival Istanbul, which will be held between Sept. 26 and Sept. 30, classic movie posters have been reinterpreted by a series of illustrators and artists. The "Art of B-Movies: The Remake Exhibition" will open its gates on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at the Open Space Workshop in the Yeldeğirmeni neighborhood of Istanbul's Kadıköy district. The application form for the exhibition to be open for two days before the festival is available online.
The Red Bull Music Festival Istanbul will offer a special music program for the city for four nights and five days in different locations across Istanbul. The Art of B-Movies, one of the themes of the festival, will feature live film concerts, two exhibitions and free film screenings.
Art of B-Movies: The Remake Exhibition
"Art of B-Movies: The Remake Exhibition," which will be presented to art lovers two days before the festival, will stay open until Friday, Sept. 30, 2018. Works by Barış Şehri, Berat Pekmezci, Berkay Dağlar, Burak Dak, Burak Şentürk, Erkut Terliksiz, Ethem Onur Bilgiç, Furkan "Nuka" Birgün, Gizem Winter, Mert Tugen, Naz Tansel, Özgü Aydar, Rajab Eryiğit, Sadi Güran, Sedat Girgin, Selçuk Ören, Sümeyye Kesgin, Yağız Gülseven, Yıldıray Çınar and Zeynep Özatalay will be displayed in the exhibition that will feature the reinterpretations of the legendary posters of the classic movies by a series of illustrators.
Art of B-Movies will also include a live film concert by Gaye Su Akyol and Bubituzak, an exhibition of replicas of B-Movie film posters from Güven Erkin Erkal's archive, a panel with Can Evrenol, Güven Erkin Erkal, Kunt Tulgar and Melikşah Altuntaş and free film screenings.
