Borusan Art will open its 2017-2018 season with the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra (BİFO), one of the most prominent symphonic communities in Turkey, the Borusan Quartet, a string instrument group, and the concerts of Borusan Music House, known for introducing Istanbulites to alternative tunes. The BİFO has accompanied numerous respected figures of the classical music world over the last 18 years and promises to start the 2017-2018 season with a rich program, star soloists of the music world and wonderful surprises. Ticket sales for the new season began on Aug. 21 for BİFOKART Gold card holders, on Sept. 9 for BİFOKART Classic card holders and on Saturday, Oct. 7 for general purchase.

The BİFO will share the stage with Daniel Hope, Vadim Repin, Veriko Tchumburidze, Alexei Volodin, Lorenzo Viotti, Gabor Boldoczki, Borusan Quartet, Çağ Erçağ, Nemanja Radulovic, Elisabeth Kulman, Zee Zee, Simge Büyükedes, Asude Karayavuz, Çiğdem Soyarslan and Burcu Uyar in the new season.

The Borusan Quartet, the chamber music community, will host Başar Can Kıvrak, Elçim Özdemir, Dorukhan Doruk and Tatjana Masurenko in their programs with the works of Maurice Ravel, Dmitri Shostakovich, Arnold Schönberg and Johannes Brahms. Borusan Music House also will host many special and distinguished projects featuring classic, new music, jazz and world music events.

The BİFO will begin its new season with a concert featuring world-famous violin virtuosos Vadim Repin and Daniel Hope. This concert, under the leadership of conductor and BİFO art director Sascha Goetzel, will be held at Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar ICEC on the night of Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. Hope, Repin will perform "Shadow Walker," written by Mark Anthony Turnage for two violins, ordered by Borusan Art, Essen Philharmonic and Trans-Siberian Art Festival.
