Garanti Jazz Green presents Micheal Kiwanuka

Micheal Kiwanuka, one of the hit names of soul music, will perform at Zorlu Performing Art Center (PSM) on Sept. 27 as part of the Garanti Jazz Green concerts Combining blues-funk melodies with effective words, Michael Kiwanuka will be a guest at Zorlu PSM tomorrow. The English musician will let listeners experience a night of retro pop and soul music with his "Main Theater-Standing" concert.

Having started his interest in music by listening to Radiohead and Nirvana albums as a kid, Micheal Kiwanuka began his solo career with the extended play (EP) of "Tell Me A Tale" in 2011. He was the winner of BBC Sound of 2012 with his second EP titled "Getting Ready." Other famous musicians such as Jessie J, Florence + the Machine and Ellie Goulding have topped this list before.

After he released his first album "Home Again" in 2012 with legendary English recording company Polydor, Kiwanuka released another album in 2016 titled "Love & Hate." Working with producer Danger Mouse, who has won a Grammy and has worked with famous artists such as Jay-Z, Gorillaz and Beck, Kiwanuka proved his vocal talent along with his talent for songwriting with the songs titled "Love & Hate," "Cold Little Heart" and "Black Man In A White World."

The tickets for Kiwanuka's "Main Theater-Standing" concert, who is already being compared to famous singers including Marvin Gay, Curts Mayfield, Terry Callier and Van Morrison, began selling on July 28 at the Zorlu PSM booking offices and online at www.zorlupsm.com and www.biletix.com. The ticket prices are TL 120 ($34) for adults and TL 95 for students.
