Award-winning virtuoso Toros Can will give the green light to the ARSU Stage Spring Concert Series with his performance on March 19. The artist, who has received a thumbs up from international music critics, has won prestigious awards for his artistic merits including the Diapason d'Or, Diapason, Le Monde de la Musique-CHOC, Telerama, Repertoire-9, Repertoire-10, Observateur-3, Piano le Magazine-Coup de Coeur and Classica-5.
The artist has given concerts in various countries around the world such as Turkey, France, the U.S., the U.K., the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Germany, Singapore, Romania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Georgia, taking the stage at prominent venues including Salle Cortot, Théâtre du Châtelet, George Enescu Concert Athenaeum, Theater aan het Vrijhof, Cite de la Musique, Invalides and St-Martin-in-The-Fields. He was also a part of the Istanbul Music Festival, Antalya Piano Festival, Münster Music Festival, Holland Music Sessions, Saint-Riquier Music Festival and La Roque d'Antheron Piano Festival. The tickets for Can's concert, which cost TL 30 ($10) and TL 20, can be purchased online from www.biletix.com or from the main counters at the concert hall.
Following his live performance on March 19, Can will also share his professional experiences in masterclasses on two consecutive days. The ARSU Stage welcomed young and talented artists such as Ivan Yanakov, Eun Young Kim, Jerfi Aji, Mert Yeşilmenderes, Güray Başol, Burak Çebi, Emrah Nalbant, Elfida Su Turan and Kaan Baysal last season, and is getting ready to host more promising musicians this year. The ARSU Stage Spring Concert Series is accepting applications from young musicians from Turkey and abroad to take part in the concert series. The concert series, which will continue until the end of April, opens its doors to all musicians who give live performances in a wide range of genres and musical styles.
