BİFO welcomes the spring with Haydn’s ‘The Seasons’
The Salzburg Bach Choir will accompany world-famous soloists with the Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra (BİFO) on Thursday. Under the baton of Sascha Goetzel, also the BİFO's artistic director, the orchestra will be giving its first March concert. Swedish soprano Miah Persson, tenor Ian Bostridge and young baritone Duncan Rock will perform with the prestigious orchestra. Persson is in great demand by major opera houses thanks to her successful theatrical performances, while Bostridge has become famous for his acclaimed concerts and recordings. Rock is a flourishing star who received awards at an early age. Persson's success story as one of the most successful musicians from the Swedish Royal Opera, is well-known in the U.K. and Germany. Bostridge conducts academic research into modern history and scientific philosophy while developing his musical repertoire. He is famous for his interpretations of lieders. The BİFO concert will end with a performance by Rock. Previously, the Salzburg Bach Choir marked an unforgettable closing concert with the BİFO at the Beethoven Festival.
