Cyclists pedal for yellow jersey at Tour of Mersin

The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality is hosting the third "Tour of Mersin" international bicycle tour with the participation of 11 bicycle teams from seven countries. The tour kicked off yesterday and is set to continue until April 23.
On the first day of the tour, the cyclists who are competing for the yellow jersey that is given to the fastest cyclist, covered 133 kilometers on the Anamur-Gülnar / Yanışlı route. Today, they will cover exactly 165 kilometers and pass through the Aydıncık, Gülnar, Silifke, Erdemli, Mezitli and Pompeiopolis routes. Tomorrow, on the third leg of the tour, the cyclists are expected to cover 145 kilometers.
The tour will come to an end with cyclists covering 147 kilometers on the fourth and final leg. The cyclists will cover 600 kilometers at the end of the tour and pedal through the 800-year-old Anamur Fortress, the 700-year-old Ala Bridge dating back to the Seljuk era, the 2,000-year-old Silifke Castle and the 2,000-year-old Cleoptra's Gate, which was named after the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra VII.
