Identical triplet boys who were delivered by caesarean section at 31 weeks at a hospital in Liverpool, England have survived the odds.
The babies were born to Becki-Jo Allen and Liam Tierney and weighed just over ten pounds between them – Rocco 3lb 5oz, Roman 3lb 6oz and Rohan 3lb 10oz.
The odds of having naturally conceived identical triplets is estimated to be somewhere between one in 60,000 and one in 200 million.
"I had been very sick and had a really bad headache so I booked an early scan and that was when I found out I was expecting triplets," she said. 'It was the biggest shock of my life!"
Now at ten months old, Roman, Rocco and Rohan are identical in every way.
How do the parents tell the boys apart? Well, Becki says she has no problem telling the boys apart, unless they're asleep then it's a little confusing for her.
"I don't get them mixed up. They all have completely different personalities," she added.
