The team uses special care to pick 100 percent natural domestic seeds for your plants and doesn't use any chemicals in the growing of the products. By refraining from the use of GMOs and hormones, the Komşuköy team is able to ensure the quality of your natural harvests. Aside from these precautions, the team also takes great effort in being mindful of the natural cycles of plants. By growing crops according to peak seasons and natural weather conditions, the team ensures fruits and vegetables with high nutritional content. After purchasing your field, the online app and monitoring system becomes active right away. Though the team takes care of everything for you, you can go down to water and take care of your fruits and vegetables yourself, as a hobby. In an interview for Yeşilist, one of the founders of Komşuköy, Özden Akyıldız spoke about how the idea for Komşuköy came into realization, saying that "Actually, the idea was the result of analyzing general necessities. We are all people who live in big cities while trying to pay attention to our health and raise our standards of living. The project started out by simply planting a few things, but now we want to create a farm life in its entirety. We are an expanding organic structure. [...] and we'll have harvest festivals."
