Pamper yourself in Pera

Soho House Istanbul is one of the most trending places of Pera, Beyoğlu. Today, Soho House has 13 clubs in total, including locations in England, Berlin, New York City, West Hollywood, Miami, Chicago, Toronto and now Istanbul. Contrary to other exclusive clubs, which generally focus on wealth and status, the common characteristic of Soho clubs is to bring individuals with creative souls together. The original London club, which was established in 1995 as a club where people who work in the creative industries can feel at home, is also a facility where you can indulge yourself at the same time. One of the most pleasurable parts of the club is undoubtedly the SPA.SPA, where Cowshed products are used, is also available for people who are not members of the club by appointment. The design of the place, which offers massages, skincare, a hammam (Turkish bath), manicures, pedicures and waxing, reflects the general spirit of Soho House. Besides the English tones, there is also interior design that carries the plain lines of Soho culture. The wooden lockers and Turkish rugs in the changing room have particularly created a real cultural integration. The whole place is very relaxing. I loved the retro TVs that are placed opposite the manicure-pedicure armchairs. The preference for Cowshed products, on the other hand, has added another quality to the place. During your massage, you can choose your own massage oil depending on your mood, as there are aromatic oils for many different moods. In addition to a ladies' hairdresser, the SPA has a men's hairdresser as well and the chairs are incredible. The retro maroon-colored chairs will transport everyone to a vintage English barber shop. All men's cosmetics are from the famous English brand Neville. As a matter of fact, those who visit Neville's barbers in London will immediately recognize their decoration in Soho House. For men and for women and for personal care, massages or a haircut, an appointment is a must. The only shortfall I happened to notice at SPA is the extreme simplicity and the small Turkish bath. I was surprised not to see the East-West synthesis of generic Turkish baths, which is successfully implemented in many areas in Soho House. There could be at least some details reflecting the orientalism of the Turkish bath. However, I must say that SPA deserves 10 out of 10, especially for those who are concerned with hygiene. With its high-quality service and variety as well as its cleanliness, Soho House SPA is one of the top places to indulge yourself in Istanbul.Pamper yourself more on the way outSince I was at Soho House, I stopped at The Allis, one of Soho House Istanbul's cafes. The SPA has its own cafe and it's quite promising. However, my mind was at The Allis, which caught my eye when I first entered the Glass Building. As a matter of fact, it is impossible to see the luscious bar of The Allis and not stop by on your way out. The place made me feel like I was in 1970s London with its design and simplicity. Dominated by pastel colors, the place is quite sophisticated with wooden panels, which accents its English quality, and shiny tile floors. Please, be especially careful with the carpets. It is located on the entrance floor of The Glass Building, which is part of the Soho House complex, and is dynamic and colorful with people who come there for the gym, a massage and accommodation. It is a real place to live with both its interior space and its garden. It offers Beyoğlu the garden we have been longing for. In the garden area, you can both feel close to and far away from the street and the people at the same time, thanks to the smartly considered landscape‎. The environment is quite green. The tables are pretty chic under the cream-colored tassel umbrellas, which were brought from Soho House in Miami. The place offers morning, afternoon and five o'clock tea, and also offers evening menus. I loved the scone biscuits I had for five o'clock tea. I recommend you taste these freshly baked scones with fig jam and cream. Likewise, the fruit-wheat salad is ideal for those who seek a light meal. The fresh juices might be a good idea after a massage. The tea and coffee sets are very chic as well. I particularly loved the originality of the tea strainers. By the way, I should say you do not have to be a member of the club in order to visit The Allis. I congratulate the marketing and communications manager of Soho House, Umut Şengün, for successfully marketing and promoting all of Soho House Istanbul's venues, including The Allis.Speaking of Pera, I want to remind you that the legendary Turkish jazz artist İlham Gencer is performing at Pera Palas Hotel throughout the summer. I met him after a performance the other day and learned about his upcoming projects as well. He said he was going to be on stage in September at Nardis Jazz Club, which is one of the best jazz clubs in Turkey. Other than SPA and the high-quality dishes served by the restaurants and cafes of Soho House Istanbul, listening to İlham Gencer's magical performance can be another way to pamper yourself in Pera.Top 3 Restaurants of the Week- Açık Mutfak / Bodrum- Kahraman / Rumelihisarı- Sahrap / BeyoğluTop 3 Hotels of the Week- Ariana Luxury Lodge / Cappadocia- The Maze / Karaköy- Splendid Palace / BüyükadaTop 3 Venues of the Week- Veranda / Pera- Fil / Karaköy- Agency / BodrumTop 3 People of the Week- Murat Özalp / Bella Sombra Hotel GM- Devrim Wellman / Producer- Ramadan Çaysever / Artist
