I have always found airports pleasant and full of excitement. I have also always tried to make as much as I can with the quality time spent at airports, which are often the starting points of new memories. When I consider airports in Turkey, I notice that they really have differing standards. It is obvious that airport operations are very important for a pleasurable arrival and departure, and the quality of operations might easily change everything to a great extent. In this sense, I have always appreciated the vision of Sani Şener, the CEO of the TAV Group, the management quality of TAV airport operations and the rapidity of applying novelties in comparison to operations abroad. I also appreciate the brands they incorporate.The most colorful and delicious incorporated brand is BTA, which features numerous foodstuffs. There are many Turkish brands under the BTA umbrella. As I see it, Cakes & Bakes is the most ambitious among them. Even though it seems like an Austrian or English brand, I consider Cakes & Bakes the most successful local cafe concept in the sense of brand positioning. They might not produce their own coffee, but it has an exportable concept with its brand stance, European ambiance and decoration, swiftness and practicality suitable to the psychology of an airport and the delicacies on its menu. My favorite is the lemon cheesecake, and I like the rose tea the best, as one can find numerous varieties of original teas and coffees. In addition to cheesecakes, Danish-style fruitcakes are also delicious; my favorite is the pineapple. You should definitely visit Cakes & Bakes, whose interior decor contains the colors cream, brown and white, before your flight. There, you can discover this proud Turkish brand that does not remain limited to their store locations, as it supplies products to 128 different fast food and coffee brands in Turkey, and sweetens the most pleasant excitement of the experience before your flight.Journey to Anatolia without flyingIf you plan to visit the domestic flight terminals at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport or Ankara's Esenboğa Airport, the ferry terminals at the Yenikapı or Güzelyalı IDO docks or Uniq Istanbul in Maslak this week, you will have the opportunity to taste numerous original delicacies of Anatolia generously presented at Tadında Anadolu, managed by BTA.Each product is shelved with the local brand of the province where it won fame, including various products from tomato jam to grass juice molasses. The lounges of banks, airlines and airport operators are pleasurable places to begin travels with excitement. The only thing missing is the scantiness of the variety of newspapers and magazines. The friendly faces of the welcoming hostesses wearing red jackets in Primeclass Lounges can be regarded as a reason to miss a flight.
