Chefs from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality won four gold and 10 silver medals at the "13th International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival," a gastronomy competition between both local and foreign chefs.
According to the announcement made by the municipality, more than 2,000 chefs, including 300 chefs from 28 different countries, attended the festival, which was held in the "TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center." Turkish cuisine was prominent in the competition in the categories of flavor, visual quality and presentation.
Cemal Demirkol from the Florya Social Facility and Rıza Şentürk from the Dragos facility won the gold medal in the "Original Turkish food" category, while Adem Dursun from the Logistic Support Center won the award in the "Fish food" category, and Abdullah Yılmaz from the Çamlıca Facility took the gold medal in the "Turkish Golden Chef of the Year" category.
