Famous Turkish TV and movie actor Teoman Kumbaracıbaşı has started to sell jams in Erenköy bazaar, after he felt suffocated by the working bad conditions, such as inordinate working hours, in the Turkish filming industry.
Kumbaracıbaşı's latest appearance in television was in "Galip Derviş" as a guest actor.
The working conditions in the Turkish TV series industry have drawn criticism and caused protests from actors and employees. In May 2013, Meryem Uzerli , who was playing Hürrem Sultan in the famous Turkish TV series "Muhteşem Yüzyıl," left the country and went to Berlin to receive treatment for "Burnout Syndrome," which arises from long working hours.
