Erasmus students learn to ski in Sarıkamış


Foreign students coming from different countries learn how to ski at the Cılbıltepe Ski Resort in Sarıkamış district of northeastern Kars province.Within the scope of the Erasmus Plus Youth Program's "Culture Around Snow" project, which was organized by Sarıkamış District Governorate and District National Education Directorate, 36 students from Azerbaijan, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina ski under the supervision of ski instructors. Project Coordinator Pınar Aksoy stated that 36 students from three countries will take ski lessons for 10 days. Stressing that their aim is to contribute to the promotion of the region culturally and socially, Aksay said, "We explain the history, nature and culture of Sarıkamış as well as Cıbıltepe Ski Resort, which is one of the most important ski centers of Turkey." As part of the project, 34 students will learn how to ski accompanied by four ski instructors.Mira Dragisevic, one of the students coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed her admiration for the region and said that the ski resort was very beautiful. She noted that she enjoys skiing on crystalized snow and between the yellow pines and added, "We learn skiing with ski instructors. I believe that I will be able to ski professionally after I complete my training."
