With a trip coordinated to the Yuntdag Yenice neighborhood in Manisa province, children who live in the city have been introduced to the life of the village for the first time in their lives. They had the chance to drink water from a well, observed how to get milk from a cow.
They ate on the floor and drank natural spring water. At the end of the day, the kids received presents from the Yunus Emre Municipality and had a fun day socializing with their peers in the village. Children brought from Yuntdag had fun participating in the Project "I Have Never Seen an Amusementpark," led by Yunus Emre Municipality, which grabs attention with its social and cultural activities.
Furthermore, the project "Let's Go to Manisa!" allowed the women of Yuntdag have an interesting day in Manisa.The last project was another children-oriented one. With the instruction of Mayor Dr. Mehmet Çerçi, the "That Village is Ours!" project kicked off with the slogan, "I Have Never Seen a Village." A group of children accompanied by their parents, were introduced to village life in Yuntdag.
The children arrived at the village and were greeted by the village headman Hasan Ali Çetir. It is stated that this project will become institutionalized. Deputy Mayor Kılıç Kaya said, "The project will be coordinated between the Directorate of National Education, the Office of the Mufti and the Association of Headmen. With the Protocol of Coordination, the project will become sustainable. Our goal is that primary school, preschool, and nursery students at least once a year participate in these trips to learn about the village life which holds our natural and cultural wealth in the villages of Yuntdagi region."
