HDP deputy Ayhan glorifies senior PKK terrorists killed in Tunceli
Pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Şanlıurfa deputy İbrahim Ayhan, praised in a tweet he shared on Tuesday, PKK members who were killed in an operation in Tunceli, including İsmail Aydemir and Aziz Güler."Insurgent commander of Dersim [Tunceli] and freedom fighter of Kobani resistance Aziz Güler, we revere before your reminiscence," he said.Two PKK terrorists were killed by security forces in the eastern province of Kars, local officials said Monday. The officials also added that in recent counterterror operations in eastern Tunceli province last week, one of the dozens of PKK terrorists killed was identified as high-ranking PKK member Aydemir who uses the nom de guerre "Baran Dersim."Up to 35 terrorists were killed in airstrikes near Ovacık, but there has been no immediate official confirmation of Aydemir's death as of yet.A member of the command echelon in the PKK's armed People's Defense Forces (HPG), Aydemir was allegedly in charge of the organization's activities in Tunceli and had reportedly been active in the PKK for 24 years.Three others were also detained in an operation by gendarmerie forces between Friday and Sunday, the provincial governor's office said in a statement.In Tunceli province two police officers were wounded on Monday when their vehicle came under fire in the district of Hozat.Two PKK terrorists were killed by security forces in the eastern province of Kars, local officials said Monday.The conflict was reignited by the PKK in late July, and since then more than 100 members of the security forces have been killed in PKK attacks.
