Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport breaks its all-time traffic record

Turkey's busiest airport, Istanbul's Atatürk International, has broken its all-time record for air traffic with daily landing and take-off of 1,375 planes.
With the ongoing capacity expansion/building work at Atatürk Airport, on Thursday, May 14 the number of planes departing and arriving at Ataturk Airport was recorded as 1,375. In other words, one plane either departed from or arrived at Atatürk Airport every 60 seconds.
The previous record had been reached as 1,338 on 26 April.
