Saudi Arabia's top prosecutor Saud al-Mujeb on Tuesday visited the kingdom's Istanbul consulate where journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered.
Al-Mujeb arrived at the consulate after visiting Istanbul's main courthouse for the second time as part of an investigation into the killing Khashoggi.
Khashoggi's death at the consulate four weeks ago has escalated into a crisis for the world's top oil exporter, which initially denied any knowledge of or a role in his death.
The Saudi prosecutor held a second round of talks with the Turkish prosecutor, Irfan Fidan, at the court house on Tuesday.
Al-Mujeb arrived in Istanbul early Monday to discuss the investigation with Fidan and members of the Turkish intelligence agency.
The senior Saudi official and the delegation accompanying him met with Fidan at the Çağlayan Courthouse in a closed door meeting that lasted for over an hour.
Al-Jazeera reported that the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) refused to provide recordings and evidence on the case to al-Mujeb.
During the meeting, al-Mujeb was expected to be presented with a 150-page dossier on the matter, which includes interviews with 45 consulate employees and phone records of Khashoggi with the consulate officers, according to an anonymous Turkish source who spoke to Al-Jazeera ahead of the meeting.
Speaking after the meeting was concluded, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu called on Saudi Arabia to reveal the "whole truth" about the killing.
"This is our concern. This investigation should be concluded as soon as possible," Çavuşoğlu said, adding that the whole world was waiting for the outcome. He also applauded cooperation and information sharing by the two countries.
Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist and a critic of Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was killed inside the consulate after he went there to get documents for his forthcoming marriage.
Saudi officials initially insisted that Khashoggi left the compound on Oct. 2 after completing his paperwork. Turkish officials, however, said they believed he was killed inside by a team sent from Saudi Arabia.
