A Daesh suspect detained by Turkish security forces earlier in March for plotting to attack the U.S. consulate in southern Adana province turned out to be the infamous militant filmed drifting in Raqqa streets in an armored personnel carrier during the early days of the terrorist group's brutal rule.

On March 7, 19 suspects, including 15 Syrian nationals, were captured by counter-terrorism units in simultaneous raids conducted in Adana.

Following the procedures at the provincial police headquarters, the suspects were referred to court for the first time on Tuesday.

Doğan News Agency reported that one of the suspects nabbed during the raid was identified as Ahmed K., the Daesh terrorist filmed drifting in an armored personnel carrier in Raqqa in the summer of 2014. The video became one of the most shared footages of the terrorist group's nearly 4-year-long rule in their so-called capital.

Another suspect, identified as Ziyad O., was a police officer in Latakia before the civil war, the report said. The man claimed that he was captured by Daesh militants and forced to fight in the terrorist grouptarget="_blank"'>
