German court jails PKK-affiliated Turkish citizen for 3 years

A Turkish citizen accused of being a PKK leader was jailed for three years by a German court on Tuesday, the court said in a statement.
The Higher Court of Dusseldorf said Ahmet C., 52, had organized PKK propaganda and "militants' affairs" in North Rhine-Westphalia state, which includes the cities of Cologne and Dortmund, between June 2013 and July 2014.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization in Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
It has waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years during which more than 40,000 people have been killed.
