Water lilies paint Gölbaşı Lake in Hatay green

Gölbaşı Lake in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay takes on a new appearance as water lilies rise to the surface during the summer, creating a sea of green lily pads.

The body of water is known as the source of the Amik Lake, which is located on the border of the Adalar district and dried up in the 1960s.

Registered as a "Wetland of National Importance," Gölbaşı Lake’s rich flora and fauna are still thriving today.
