Kyrgyzstan is a relatively small landlocked country in Central Asia yet boasts beautiful landscapes and nature. Some 80% of its territory is covered by the mountainous region of the Tian Shan, whose name means "Mountains of Heaven." The rest of the country is made up of picturesque valleys and basins. Kyrgyzstan's unique topographic features earned it a nickname of "Central Asia's Switzerland."
