Catch a glimpse of vibrant fall colors and a cascading waterfall in Turkey’s Malatya
The Günpınar Waterfall, located 110 kilometers from Malatya city center and 5 kilometers from Darende town center in eastern Anatolia, has been announced as Turkey's 243rd natural park.
The natural waterfall leaves visitors in awe with its unspoiled nature, fascinating canyon and rich foliage, where leaves turn shades of yellows, orangey reds and paler greens with fall's arrival and shimmer in the sunlight.
The waterfall pours into the Tohma Stream – a tributary of the Euphrates where people fish and do rafting – and flows through the canyon.
The park where the waterfall is located attracts the attention of local and foreign tourists before winter casts its spell on the city and leaves it under a blanket of snow.
