Eternal journey: 750th death anniversary of Rumi

A Seb-i Arus ceremony was held for the 750th anniversary of the death of Sufi philosopher Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, one of the most important Sufis of the Turkish and Islamic world, and to mark 2023 as the "Year of Mevlana," Istanbul, Türkiye, Dec. 17, 2023.

The night of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi's death, marking his reunion with his divine beloved, is celebrated every year around this time, as are the Seb-i Arus events held on the anniversaries of this night.
